November Catch-Up Part 2

Whilst I love writing articles for my readers sometimes other people say things just a little bit better than me! Or at least are better placed to say them! So here’s my round-up of the blog, stories and articles you might have missed of the last couple of weeks or I just think you might find useful!

Articles
Working at a BJJ gym VS an Office – BJJ Love – A blog from Barabara (a UK based purple belt) who has spent 2 years working at her gym comparing it her previous office job experiences.

Hannette Staack “I Feel Embarrassment For The Female Equality Movement” – BJJ Heroes – A recent interview with female international grappler Hannette Staack about her return to competition and other aspects of the sport.

Suffrajitsu – Standing on their shoulders – Jiu Jolie – A great little article looking at jiu jitsu and its role in the suffragette movement and how she helped to bring a play about them to life!

UK Major Events
Grapplefest 3 Round-Up – FloGrappling – Last weekend saw Grapplefest 3 take place in Liverpool which featured a host of top-level matches, this article covers all the highlights you may have missed!

Polaris 8 Preview – Attack the Back – Following on from Grapplefest 3 we have Polaris 8 just around the corner, this article gives the details on the card and the ones to watch.

Technical Takeaway
Following Grapplefest 3 last week I was lucky enough to attend a seminar with Gianni Grippo. I can’t confirm or deny if they were any berimbolos attempted in the duration of the seminar but here a great introduction to them!
