One of my motivations for starting this blog was that I never took the opportunity to log my journey and all the cool things I did as a white belt. Although hopefully these photos show that i’ve never took any of the opportunities I’ve had for granted and seized as many as i could!

Hi,
What would you suggest for a girl with a coily afro that does BJJ?
i wear my hair in a protective style now, but before, I wasn’t able to get my hair braided during that week and It broke off TERRIBLY!! It is growing back nicely now, but if you have advice for my kind of hair, I love to hear it!

I did do a blog regarding hair care https://bjjminion.wordpress.com/2015/10/31/bjj-girls-problems-jits-hair/ but as you can tell afro’s aren’t my area of expertise!
I did have a look on other blogs I know and you might want to check out http://bjiujitsu.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/bjj-and-black-hair.html it’s a bit old but might help point you in the right direction 😊
